Sesquiterpenoids from Curcuma wenyujin with anti-influenza viral activities

► Twelve sesquiterpenoids (five hitherto unknown) were isolated from the rhizomes of Curcuma wenyujin. ► Their structures were elucidated using NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. ► Several compounds showed significant in vitro antiviral activity against influenza virus A.
