Friedolanostanes and xanthones from the twigs of Garcinia hombroniana

► Two 17,14-friedolanostanes and four xanthones were isolated from Garcinia hombroniana. ► Xanthones were isolated for the first time from this plant. ► Their antibacterial activity was evaluated.
