Iridoids from leaves of Gelsemium elegans

► Iridoids (geleganoids A-F, geleganosides A-B) were isolated from G. elegans. ► The relative configuration of geleganoid A was deduced by X-ray analysis. ► The absolute configuration of geleganoid B was established by Mosher's method. ► Geleganoside B possesses a rare α-d-glucopyranose unit. ► And geleganoid D is a noriridoid due to absence of C-3.
