Changes in wheat leaf phenolome in response to cold acclimation

► LC-ESI-MS and MRM protocols were used to generate a wheat leaf phenolome. ► Cold acclimation induces differential accumulation of phenolics in winter and spring wheat. ► 3′,4′,5′-Trimethyltricetin was identified as a constituent of wheat leaves. ► Wheat leaf constituents may be considered a rich, affordable source of nutraceuticals.
