The molecular basis of host plant selection in Melaleucaquinquenervia by a successful biological control agent

Viridiflorol is a feeding deterrent against the weevil Oxyops vitiosa. We have isolated and characterised the terpene synthase responsible for the production of viridiflorol in Melaleuca quinquenervia.
