Terpenes with antimicrobial activity from Cretan propolis

Phytochemical investigations of propolis from Crete led to isolation of 23 compounds including three diterpenes and two triterpenes along with 18 known compounds, seven of them propolis components. The isolated compounds showed promising antimicrobial activity against 11 microorganisms.
