Quantitative analysis of sesquiterpene lactones and thymol derivatives in extracts from Telekia speciosa

- An HPLC-DAD method was developed to quantify major terpenoids of Telekia speciosa.
- Seven lactones and one thymol derivative were quantified in T. speciosa tissues.
- Plants of different origin showed various capabilities to accumulate terpenoids.
- Each organ of T. speciosa plant is characterized by specific metabolite profile.
