Acylated dolabellane-type diterpenes from Nigella sativa seeds with triglyceride metabolism-promoting activity in high glucose-pretreated HepG2 cells

► A MeOH extract from seeds of Nigella sativa significantly reduced liver TG content. ► Two new acylated dolabellane-type diterpenes, nigellamines B3 and D, were isolated. ► Several diterpene constituents were found to show TG metabolism promoting activity.
