Bioactivity-guided isolation of antiproliferative compounds from Centaurea carduiformis DC

- Four flavone derivatives were isolated from root of Centaura carduiformis.
- The isolated compounds were elucidated with chemical and spectroscopic methods.
- Antiproliferative activities of compounds were investigated against Vero, HeLa and C6.
- Antiproliferative activity tests were examined using the BrdU ELISA assay.
