New antiproliferative and immunosuppressive withanolides from the seeds of Datura metel

- This is the first time to study the chemical constituents of the seeds of D. metel.
- Two new and one known withanolides were isolated and identified.
- One withanolide with uncommon skeleton was discovered, whose H-14 was β-oriented.
- Compounds 1-3 show moderated antiproliferative and potential immunosuppressive effects.
