Ergosedmine, a new peptide ergot alkaloid (ergopeptine) from the ergot fungus, Claviceps purpurea parasitizing Calamagrostis arundinacea

This manuscript reports the isolation and identification of ergosedmine, and its product from spontaneous epimerisation, ergosedminine, from the sclerotia of Claviceps purpurea, obtained from the heads of Calamagrostis arundinacea.
