Phenolic constituents of the inflorescences of Sorbus torminalis (L.) Crantz

► A new acylated flavonoid (6) was isolated from the Sorbus torminalis inflorescences. ► 6 was identified as isorhamnetin-3-O-[6″-O-(3‴-hydroxy-3‴-methylglutaroyl)]-β-d-galactopyranoside. ► Nine further phenolic compounds were found for the first time in this plant. ► These include seven flavonoids and two caffeoylquinic acids.
