Two new compounds from Trigonostemon heterophyllus

► Both trigonoheterene and trigonoheterone were new compounds. ► The present study is the first report of the occurrence of a naphthoquinone in Trigonostemon species. ► Both 3,4-seco-sonderianol and trigonochinene E were isolated for the first time from Trigonostemon heterophyllus. ► The four compounds were found to possess cytotoxic activities and antibacterial activities.
