Toxic lanostane triterpenes from the basidiomycete Ganoderma amboinense

► 16 lanostane triterpene derivatives including a new ganodermacetal were isolated from Ganoderma amboinense. ► Ganodermacetal (1) possessed an unusual acetonide functionality at C-7 and C-15. ► Some metabolites showed pronounced toxic activity to the brine shrimp.
