Two new steroidal saponins from Dioscorea panthaica

► Two new furostanol saponins from the Dioscorea panthaica were isolated. ► The structures of the new saponins were determined by detailed analysis of spectral data. ► The inhibitory activities of all separated against α-glucosidase were investigated for the first time. ► Two saponins were found to exhibit potent activities against α-glucosidase.
