Inhibitory effects of lupeol on 3T3-L1 preadipocyte differentiation

Lupeol, a lupane triterpene, blocks the accumulation of lipid droplets, a cell differentiation marker of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes. The analysis of gene expressions revealed that lupeol inhibited triglyceride synthesis in mature 3T3-L1 cells by attenuating adipogenic enzymes.
