Efficient catalytic method for the synthesis of N-aryl-substituted 1,5,3-dithiazamacroheterocycles

A new efficient method for the synthesis of 3-aryl-1,5,3-dithiazacyclanes and 6-aryl-1,11-diaza-4,8-dithia-6-azacyclotridecanes by cycloaminomethylation of α,ω-dithiols (butane-1,4-, pentane-1,5-, hexane-1,6-dithiols and 3,6-dioxaoctane-1,8-dithiol) using N,N-bis(methoxymethyl)-N-arylamines and Sm- and Cu-containing catalysts is reported.
