Three-component one-pot synthesis of quinoline–furan conjugates from acetylenedicarboxylate, isocyanide, and 2-chloroquinoline-3-carbaldehyde

We have developed a facile and efficient method for the synthesis of functionalized novel furylquinolines. A variety of quinoline–furan conjugates were obtained via the condensation of 2-chloroquinoline-3-carbaldehyde with acetylenecarboxylates and isocyanides in good to excellent yields.
