Domino reactions starting from alkynyl esters tethered to 2-methyl-1,3-cycloalkanediones. Efficient access to polyfunctionalized diquinanes, allenoates, and oxetanes

The reactivity of alkynyl esters tethered to 2-methyl-1,3-cycloalkanediones toward TBAF and TBAF in the presence of 4 Å molecular sieves is reported. Polyfunctionalized diquinanes, allenaotes or oxetanes resulting from anionic domino reactions can be readily available with high to complete diastereoselectivities.

Starting from alkynyl esters tethered to 2-methyl-1,3-cycloalkanediones, TBAF and TBAF/4 Å molecular sieves promoted diastereoselective domino reactions to afford readily polyfunctionalized diquinanes, allenoates or oxetanes.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slide
