A novel method for the synthesis of highly functionalized 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones through the 1,4-addition on pyrimidin-2(1H)-ones

A novel method for synthesizing hitherto unreported 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones (DHPMs) through 1,4-addition of nucleophiles on pyrimidin-2(1H)-ones is disclosed herein.
