A practical diastereoselective synthesis of β-hydroxy-β-trifluoromethyl imines

Asymmetric carbon-carbon bond formation reaction of chiral N-(tert-butanesulfinyl) ketimines and α-trifluoromethylated ketones was achieved to give chiral β-hydroxy-β-trifluoromethyl imines in moderate to high yields with good diastereoselectivities.
