New bioactive cyclic peroxides from the Caribbean marine sponge Plakortis zyggompha

Seven new cyclic aliphatic peroxides have been isolated from the little studied marine sponge Plakortis zyggompha. The structural elucidations were based on NMR and MS studies. The new plakortides showed cytotoxicity against human tumor cell lines.
