New acyclic receptors containing pyridazine units. The influence of π-stacking on the selective transport of lipophilic phenethylamines

Four new series of acyclic heteroaromatic receptors are described, and their ability for the selective transport of phenethylamine and homoveratrylamine is evaluated. The relative influence of π-stacking and hydrogen bonding on complexation is discussed with the help of molecular modelling.
