Liquid phase catalytic oxidation of alcohols over mixed metal oxides

Oxidation of alcohols was studied over CoO–CeO2 using tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) and n-hexane as a solvent in liquid phase reaction. The catalyst used for this synthetically useful transformation showed considerable level of reusability besides good activity.
