Structure determination of diacholestanes. Their geochemical significance

Six diacholestanes purified from synthetic mixtures were characterized by 2D-NMR (1H and 13C) and X-ray diffraction (I and IVa) which allowed the conclusive identification of the main diacholestanes occurring in geological samples.
