Rapid, microwave-assisted organic synthesis of selective V600EBRAF inhibitors for preclinical cancer research

Microwave-assisted total syntheses of the highly selective V600EBRAF inhibitors PLX4720 and PLX4032 are reported. In addition to the synthesis of the title compounds, this protocol could enable the development of focused libraries of other novel BRAF-selective compounds.
