Concise assembly of linear α(1→6)-linked octamannan fluorescent probe

A concise and efficient convergent two-stage activation approach for the synthesis of a linear α(1→6)-linked octamannosyl glycoside possessing a dansyl group as a fluorescent probe is reported.
