Organocatalytic highly enantioselective α-selenenylation of aldehydes

The highly enantioselective organocatalytic α-selenenylation of aldehydes is presented. The reaction gives access to α-phenylselenoaldehydes and β-selenoalcohols in high yields with up to >99% ee.
