Formation of chiral charge-transfer complex with axially chiral 1,1′-bi-2-naphthol and viologen derivatives

By using three types of viologen derivatives, we synthesized chiral charge-transfer (CT) complexes with an axially chiral 1,1′-bi-2-naphthol molecule and successfully controlled the crystal structure and inclusion ability of the third component by changing the viologens.
