Synthesis of triterpenoid-based 1,2,4-trioxolanes and 1,2,4-dioxazolidines by ozonolysis of allobetulin derivatives

Oxidation of allobetulin derivatives with ozone results in good isolated yields of the corresponding stable 1,2,4-trioxolanes and 1,2,4-dioxazolidines.
