The enantioselective halo aldol reaction utilizing cyclopropyl ketone-derived enolates

A new enantioselective halo aldol reaction is reported using a chiral borane catalyst. The absolute stereochemistry of the product was unambiguously determined by chemical transformations and a preliminary mechanistic study is reported.
