Synthesis and manganese complexes of pentagonal bipyramidal ligands: N,N′-disubstituted pentaaza macrocycles

Two heptadentate ligands were prepared and the crystal structure of manganese complex with L1 revealed a pentagonal bipyramidal geometry.
