Palladium-catalyzed homocoupling of arenediazonium salts: an operationally simple synthesis of symmetrical biaryls

Homocoupling of arenediazonium tetrafluoroborates by refluxing in methanol with 15 mol % Pd(OAc)2 gave symmetrical biaryls in yields ranging from 0% to 88%.
