Regioselective and high-yielding bromination of aromatic compounds using hexamethylenetetramine-bromine

A regioselective and highly efficient method for bromination of aromatic compounds in the presence of a stoichiometric amount of hexamethylenetetramine-bromine (HMTAB) as an efficient reagent in dichloromethane is reported.
