Stepwise construction of polyalkyne modules grafted on oligopyridine synthons

The synthesis of pyridine, 2,2′-bipyridine and 2,2′:6′,6″-terpyridine substituted with triethylsilylbutadiyne, butadiyne and triethylsilyl-hexatriyne is reported.
