Isolation and structure of flutimide, a novel endonuclease inhibitor of influenza virus

The structure of flutimide isolated from a new species, Delitchia confertaspora, is proposed on the basis of spectroscopic, degradative and synthetic studies. Flutimide is the first natural product to inhibit the cap-dependent endonuclease of influenza virus.
