Surface fractal dimensions and textural properties of mesoporous alkaline-earth hydroxyapatites

- Alkaline-earth hydroxyapatites were prepared by chemical precipitation method.
- Calcium hydroxyapatite exhibited better textural properties compared with others.
- Df of studied materials tend to be smooth surface, except barium hydroxyapatite.
- Barium hydroxyapatite surface was irregular with high population of active-sites.
- A linear correlation between the fractal dimension and hydroxyl groups was found.
