Effects of hydrogen on photoluminescence properties of a-SiNx:H films prepared by VHF-PECVD

► PL intensity can be changed by controlling the hydrogen flow rates. ► The hydrogen passivation of nonradiative defect states related to N and Si enhances PL intensity. ► The PL intensity of the film is found to be four times higher than that of the film without hydrogen dilution.
