One-step synthesis of visible active CNS-tridoped TiO2 photocatalyst from biomolecule cystine

► CNS-tridoped TiO2 has been synthesized by the addition of biomolecule cystine. ► This biomolecule cystine could be served as the sources of C, N and S simultaneously. ► The separation of photoinduced charge carriers and light absorption were improved. ► The activity enhanced mechanism was discussed in detail. ► This study provides a new strategy to synthesize visible light photocatalyst.
