Structural transition and blue emission in textured and highly transparent spray deposited Li doped WO3 thin films

► Doping of Li (0-5 wt%) in WO3 thin films leads to structural change from orthorhombic to tetragonal phase. ► XRD patterns suggest textured growth for Li doped films. ► Li-doped films revealed greater transparency. ► Direct and indirect bandgaps were found to blue shift with Li doping. ► Photoluminescence spectra show pronounced blue emission with Li doping.
