Cathéter fémoral après chirurgie du genou : un mal pour un bien ?

Femoral block is considered as the gold standard for analgesia after knee surgery. However, analgesia of the knee is not complete. The risk does not seem too be increased by a femoral block. The adductor canal block is supposed to provide analgesia devoid of motor block although analgesia is not complete and partial motor block is possible. Local infiltration provides a complete sensory block adapted to the surgical procedure but may vary from surgeons and patients.
