Évaluation préopératoire du risque d'insuffisance rénale périopératoire

Renal function is prone to be impaired during the perioperative period. Perioperative renal failure needs to be prevented because of the risk of chronic renal impairment. Patients' comorbidities and major surgery are documented risk factors of acute renal failure leading to chronic renal impairment, especially in patients with previously altered renal function. These patients may benefit of a careful monitoring of creatinine plasma concentration and urinary output in the perioperative period.
