Optimizing the physical-chemical properties of carbon nanotubes (CNT) and graphene nanoplatelets (GNP) on Cu(II) adsorption

- Size and shape are important factors for copper adsorptive capacity on CNT and GNP.
- GNP showed poor adsorptive capacity associated to stacked-nanoplatelets.
- OH-MWCNT with small outer diameter showed best adsorptive capacity.
- RSM helped to identify significant properties for copper removal capacity.
