Synthesis of hierarchically structured ZnO spheres by facile methods and their photocatalytic deNOx properties

► ZnO spheres with huge surface area were synthesized by simple processes. ► TiO2 was coupled with ZnO spheres in order to enhance the photocatalytic activity. ► The series ZnO spheres showed excellent photocatalytic activity.
