Impact of size and sorption on degradation of trichloroethylene and polychlorinated biphenyls by nano-scale zerovalent iron

► nZVIs were synthesized using a layer-by-layer or poly(acrylic acid) stabilization approach. ► These nZVIs were used to degrade TCE and PCB. ► nZVI coatings impacted reactivity by altering pollutants/particle interactions. ► Smaller nZVI particle size led to greater reactivity.
