Reductive transformation of endosulfan in aqueous phase using magnesium-palladium bimetallic systems: A comparative study

► Mg0/immobilized Pd0 is an efficient system for the reductive removal of endosulfan. ► Endosulfan was transformed into innocuous hydrocarbon product. ► Pd0-Al203 and Pd0-C were recycled for 6 and 12 consecutive detoxification cycles. ► Organic solvents could be replaced with non-ionic detergents such as Tween 80. ► Immobilized palladium can be used in a reactor and reduce the water treatment cost.
