Removal of blue-green algae using the hybrid method of hydrodynamic cavitation and ozonation

► Hydrodynamic cavitation was induced by suction and extrusion process. ► Synergistic effect of cavitation and ozonation on removal of microalgae was found. ► Suction-cavitation significantly promotes ozonation-removal of blue-green algae. ► Ozone utilization is obviously raised to reduce the time and energy consumption.
