Loess clay based copolymer for removing Pb(II) ions

► The loess clay based copolymer was prepared using functional monomers. ► Characterization of the polymer adsorbent and the raw material were carried out. ► The adsorption behavior of the complex for Pb(II) ions was evaluated. ► The removal rate of Pb(II) got to 99% and the adsorption capacity got to 356.9 mg/g.
