Arsenate removal from simulated groundwater with a Donnan dialyzer

► We design a point of use device based on Donnan dialysis for the removal of As(V) in rural environments. ► Table salt is the optimal electrolyte for the stripping solution preparation. ► The proposed device was operated for 26 times before replacing the stripping solution. ► Significant membrane fouling was not detected. ► The proposed device can solve the arsenic contamination problem in rural areas in a sustainable manner.
