Enantioselective phytotoxicity of metolachlor against maize and rice roots

► Enantioselective phytotoxicity of rac- and S-metolachlor on crops root was studied. ► Visible morphological changes were ascertained in growth of root. ► Physiologic indicators of roots were affected, and destroy of cell was observed, ► S-metolachlor has higher effects on crop root than rac-metolachlor does.
